Qbanaa.

A Cuban-Irish singer-songwriter, Qbanaa fuses neo-soul, Latin jazz-infused pop, and raw storytelling with an effortless blend of classic and contemporary influences. Her sultry honey silk vocals and immersive sound have drawn comparisons to Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, and Greentea Peng - while her rich, multicultural heritage drives her mission to imprint Spanglish music on the global stage. Supporting major artists such as Liv.e, Mahalia, Buena Vista Social Club and Ruby Waters alongside festival appearances at Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Cork Jazz, Northside Denmark, Beyond The Pale, Forbidden Fruit and Other Voices, her live show reflects her meeting of styles.

Beginning 2025 as the Irish Times’ 50 For The Future cover star and RTÉ’s lead artist at Eurosonic Festival in Netherlands, Qbanaa dropped the Elisa EP followed by the stripped down RTÉ Studio 8 Sessions release. August will see her unveil ‘Fruta Prohibida’,  a sweeping, cinematic Spanish ballad that explores the ache of forbidden love and the liberation of self-discovery.
