Signed with London label Origins Inconclusive at the beginning of the year, Caolan Ryan announces the release of his debut EP in August. Inspired by his experiences of living both in London and on the west coast of Ireland, of songwriting and club sessions and the ever-shifting world of electronic music, LOVE is a project that brings human emotion to the dance floor.
Inspired and championed by the likes of Fred again…., HAAi and George Fitzgerald, Caolan has revealed the nature of the EP across the summer - from lead single ‘WHERE UR GOING’ (Jenny Greene’s Track Of The Week on RTE2FM) to his recent collaboration with Jafaris on ‘DO IT’, a track that brought the two previously unconnected artists together and voiced their own unique experiences. Gathered over six tracks, the EP is a fusion of varying styles. The title (and focus) track sums it up perfectly in a joyous, euphoric moment.
Having played DJ sets alongside Fred again… (when he invited the Grammy winning artist to Dingle for a surprise launch for the Ten Days album), Shee and Kilimanjaro, Ryan has taken the natural step of performing live - making his debut in Dublin in July.
