Daire Patel.

Years in the making, Daore Patel’s debut album What Means The World To You? is a deeply personal and emotionally ambitious body of work that captures the turbulence of early adulthood. Both diary and time capsule, the record traces his journey from confusion and self-doubt to resilience and acceptance. Across its songs, Patel explores heartbreak, fractured friendships, unreachable ambitions and the quiet courage of refusing to give up. His genre-blurring sound threads together alt-R&B, hip-hop, lo-fi pop and modern soul, drawing comparisons to Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, and Brockhampton. At the album’s core, however, lies an unfiltered honesty - confessions Patel admits he could never voice in everyday conversation, laid bare instead through music.

From earlier breakthrough singles ‘Hold Me Down’ and ‘Sirens’ (feat. Aby Coulibaly) - which earned radio play on BBC and RTÉ and featured in Irish dramas Kin and Smother - to the album’s singles ‘Everything You Say’, ‘Halo’, ‘Head In The Clouds’ and ‘Last Night A Decade Ago’, Patel has demonstrated a rare ability to blend infectious grooves with confessional songwriting that is connecting with more listeners on every release - helped by appearances on Spotify playlists such as Alt Pop, IDK and New Music Friday.
