Anti-One is a rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Dublin. A jack of all trades, he's been compared to the likes of B. Dolan, Sage Francis, Kendrick Lamar, Doomtree and Kanye West, with the odd Beck reference thrown in for good measure. His live show has been known to match an old Black Flag show for energy.
Latest EP Alice introduced a wealth of influences, from modern trap to '90s house music - garnering support from the likes of 2FM's Dan Hegarty. Forthcoming release ProCrass picks up on that synth sound – producing a version of hip-hop that’s as rooted in punk and rave as it is the expected influences.
"His live show is developing into quite the rap and rock noise, but Anti-One’s new EP is a more subtle, DIY electronic affair." (State Magazine)
"There was a time when people would look cock-eyed at the notion [of Irish hip-hop], thanks to artists like Anti-One, those days are becoming more and more a distant memory." (The Sound Feed)
